Refurbished 80s Ghurka No. 37 The Spectator Bag
The Ghurka brand of bags is the pinnacle of American craftsmanship; this narrow gusseted bag dates from 1982. In later years, the strap was made to be more adjustable in length, but the early designed The Spectators had two button screw strap adjustment lengths. Handmade in Connecticut of sturdy khaki twill and trimmed in vegetable tanned full grain leather, the Ghurka Originals are made to last lifetimes. They are the opposite of a flashy/trendy handbag, speaking volumes based on the quality alone. Truly, if you are even remotely interested in learning about the level of quality that is sewn in to each Ghurka Bag, I would suggest heading to this article to help you learn about this iconic American made handbag company:

~CONDITION:
Excellent vintage condition. Really impeccable condition, especially factoring in that this gem of a bag is over 40 years old! It came to Villa Milagro with a lot of dirt on the canvas and dry leather with some odd crunchy stains on the corner leather trim. Because of the nature of this leather, care was taken in getting rid of the crunchy parts (for the most part), and very careful moisturizer was applied to all of the leather, after carefully cleaning it. It has been surface cleaned with a gentle cleaner for the fabric, all the leather was carefully conditioned to restore moisture to the hide and the brass polished in preparation for its next amazing lifetime!
